From 24-27 June 2024, Agung Firmansyah, a student of the Bachelor of Management Study Program, Faculty of Business Economics and Digital Technology, Nahdlatul Ulama University, Surabaya, had the opportunity to take part in the International Community Services Program 2024 and the 1st International Faculty Mobility Activities (IFMA) 2024. For four days, the student had the opportunity to take part in international community service and international comparative studies in Malaysia, specifically at Universiti Malaya, Universiti Putra Malaysia and Universiti Malaysia Klantan.

Experiencing being on a foreign campus provided a new experience for Agung. “This international community service and international comparative study activity was very enjoyable and insightful, because I was required to adapt to a new environment and had to gain a lot of new experiences and insights, along with great lecturers at 3 well-known Malayasi State campuses,” said Agung.

The adaptations carried out went well. “At first, I needed to adapt because this was my first time experiencing campus activities abroad. But now he can adapt well from participating in activities and help the activities run optimally. This international comparative study activity made me have new insights, starting from the student learning system and student activities carried out, especially abroad.

Because the Malaysian environment tends not to be much different from Indonesia, Agung tends not to have too much difficulty adapting to the environment there. From several submissions obtained from the deans of the faculties of each campus intended to carry out this program. Many people really welcome campus graduates who want to continue their studies at overseas campuses, especially Malaysia. There are also many scholarship programs that can be a way for graduates to continue abroad, either scholarship programs opened by the Indonesian government or scholarships opened by the Malaysian government.

This activity was a valuable experience for me to have the opportunity to carry out campus activities abroad. This could be a way for me to continue to develop in the search for knowledge. At least this is proof for anyone who has high hopes that everything will be achieved, the most important thing is that it is always accompanied by prayer and effort, I am sure that everyone has the same opportunity to be able to achieve what they want, success for all of us, aamiin.
